The world of interactive media is being used by everyone these days theres so many different types of interactive media and its still being improved by the day. From the days of the VHS and watching the film a long time after the film was at the cinema and DVDs now with the much better quality and about three or four months after the at cinema. Now blue ray with even more quality then DVDs. With the internet you can see the films on the internet with trailers and can download quickly now rather than when the internet had just started out.
There are many different types of platforms for video in interactive media one of the main platforms for watching videos is the world wide web. There are a lot of websites that you can watch videos on with the main site being Youtube. You can download videos Youtube and most sites with videos on them so you can watch them later. Most of the TV channels have iplayer things now so you can catch up on TV channels and you can also downloads programmes from them. Email attachments are another way to watching videos by adding on videos on to emails. Videos that are advertising something are often the main videos that are attached to emails, the main videos that come up are gambling and the sex industry.
DVDs playing movies and on them you get extras on them like different endings and outtakes are some things that are on DVDs extras. CD ROMs can be used for the use of making presentations of different things. They is also kiosks that are screen things that are in many towns and cities which give different interactive things to do like searching the internet, games and places where to go. You can now watch videos on mobile phones and games consoles. The Playstation 3 can play blue ray discs so games console are blue ray players.

Estate agents use them so people can look at a house on the internet. Also places like galleries and museums are putting virtual tours on there sites.
